Facebook ads are CPC (cost per click) or CPM (cost per thousand views) bid based, allowing advertisers to set the destination of the clicks to an external website, Facebook page or Facebook post. Advanced targeting options for Facebook Ads include; location, age, gender, sexual preference, relationship status, education, language, workplace, broad categories, friend connections and perhaps most importantly by precise interest's (Facebook user likes). Currently there is only 1 display option for facebook ads which includes a title, small image and 120 character (max) ad message. Second only to Google Adword's in terms of total audience reach, Facebook Ads offer competitive CPC pricing and targeting, providing a great advertising resource for any online advertisers looking for additional brand exposure, targeted traffic, leads and sales.

• 1 in every 1,000?
• Not a very good return on the investment in my humble opinion. Especially if your a small business working hard to generate sales and make every advertising penny count.
I'll probably never use FB as an advertising platform again nor can I recommend it.
