Easy to Use but Good Luck getting approved!
THE GOOD
• Easy to use interface.
• Demographic targeting options.
• Interest Targeting options.
• Fairly quick review/approval process.
• Quick deposit refund.
THE BAD
• Very difficult as a marketer to get sponsored stumbles approved.
• No specific reasons provided for non approved pages.
• Wasted time trying to get sponsored stumble pages approved to no avail.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
As a long time Stumble Upon user and a full time internet marketer, I was excited to try out the StumbleUpon Paid Discovery feature. The interface has recently been redesigned and is quite simple and easy to use. Depositing funds and setting up campaigns is a breeze, only taking a few minutes. Advertisers can let the system automatically target users or manually target specific demographics and interests groups. However, after trying to get dozens of pages approved for Paid Discovery not a single one ended up being published, as I was unable to get any of them to pass StumbleUpon's approval process. After a many attempts and a couple hours trying to figure out just what they might consider acceptable content I have finally given up. They do not provide specific reasons behind why pages are not approved - only: "The submitted page offers minimal information-rich content." I believe all the pages I submitted provided very informative and useful information, especially for the interest groups I was targeting. I think their approval process needs some improvement and I would advise other marketers to not waste much time trying to get their pages approved. Also FYI, payment refunds (unused deposit) was refunded very quickly, within a day.
